Professor Ian Jacobs served the Australian Resuscitation Council for 25 years and excelled in national and international resuscitation research, knowledge dissemination and collaboration.

The Australian Resuscitation Council is establishing the Ian Jacobs Fellowship as a lasting tribute to his memory.

The ARC Ian Jacobs Fellowship is planned to be awarded annually at the discretion of the ARC to meritorious applicants with the aims of supporting national and international resuscitation investigation and knowledge dissemination.

“Inaugural” Award

Congratulations to Dr Janet Bray who has been awarded the “inaugural” Ian Jacobs Fellowship award:

2016 Award

Congratulations to Mia McLanders who has been awarded the second Ian Jacobs Fellowship award.

Mia is a PhD Candidate at the Mater Research Institute, the University of Queensland.

Mia will use the funding to continue with her project:  Improving Teamwork during Neonatal Resuscitation through Video Analysis

2018 Award

Congratulations to Dr Priyanka Kapadia – Neonatal Fellow, Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital

Pri will use the funds to support her project “Trends in Neonatal Resuscitation patterns in Queensland – a 10-year Retrospective Cross-sectional Time Series Study”
