Professor Ian Jacobs

We wish to advise of the tragic loss of Professor Ian Jacobs yesterday (Sunday 19th October 2014) after a sudden illness.

For over 25 years Prof Jacobs has served the Australian Resuscitation Council tirelessly in various roles, including as Chair since 2000. His contribution to the national and international resuscitation community has been immense.

We at the Australian Resuscitation Council are privileged to have worked with this passionate supporter of resuscitation.

The international resuscitation community has lost an inspirational leader, a prolific academic, and a great friend. He will be sadly missed.

Our thoughts are with his wife Judith and his family.
